Lisa, What version of Jaws are you using? I don't see that option in Jaws 8. When you go into forms mode, Jaws goes out of the virtual cursor and back to the normal PC cursor which allows you to edit the form field. I would leave that unchecked. As for the control shift D, this loads the default configuration manager and any changes you make affects all applications, not just the configuration of the application you are in. In this case, it probably wouldn't hurt anything to turn off the flash player in the default., although if you do, it will turn it off in any application that might use it.
