A broadcand card is for a mobile device, such as Cingular and Verizon. They require a sym card from your mobile provider to work. A wireless card is what you would use to connect to your network, provided you have a wireless router. Jaws works with the broadband mobile card from Cingular, but not sure about any other provider.
