I've found the screen layout mode convenient when I needed to paste something to someone who is sighted, or when looking on the perldoc website. I also find it convenient when I'm using braille. I don't use it for everyday navigation with speech, but it comes in handy for me fairly often.

I don't like the screen layout mode. I don't really know why they introduced it; maybe it's for Braille users. Press D to go to the document presentation. It should be in simple layout. Press the space bar to change it to screen layout. tab to the close button. You should now be in screen layout mode. I find this version more difficult to navigate. This is just a temporary change. It will reset to simple layout the next time you open IE. Good luck >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 09/22/2007 10:19 AM >>> I occasionally get posts with instructions to find boxes etc. on either the left or right side of a screen on a website. Is there a uniform way that Jaws displays screens, and is it possible to navigate around a screen using Jaws the way you might with a mouse? Thanks for any enlightenment.
