Andy,
When running in the system tray, pressing INSERT J will give you a
context menu that contains the all the items normally found in the Menu
bar of the application window. User up and down arrow to move to the
items like Help, Utilities, Language, and so on.

The only problem that I have found with running JAWS from the system
tray is that i can't access all of the menus.  I can only access the
first list of options.  I cannot, for example, access the utilities or
help menu.  To do this, i have to leave the JAWS window intact.
