Try taskbar and start menu properties, there is a setting for auto scroling
of menus.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Menus scrolling without my help

> Hi all,
>
> I've noticed that in the last few weeks, on my Windows Vista PC with JAWS
> 9,
> my Start Menu, Favorites menu, context menus, and any other menu, will
> actually scroll without me pressing any keys or moving the mouse. For
> example, my start menu might show "New Office Document," at which point I
> might physically remove my hands from the keyboard to wait. Presently, the
> highlight on my braille display under "New Office Document" actually
> disappears, and soon JAWS might start speaking other items, like Shut
> Down.
>
> This doesn't happen in other classes or controls, such as the edit window
> in
> a Microsoft Word document. Any suggestions?
