Hello Stu, One way to do it is to use the dictionary manager.
1. Move on to the symbol and select it by using the shift key with the right arrow key. 2. Copy the selected character or symbol to the clipboard using CTRL-C or by choosing the copy choice from the edit menu. (Get to the edit menu with Alt-E, arrow down to the edit choice and press enter). 3. Use Insert-D to bring up the dictionary manager for Microsoft Word. If you are using a laptop in laptop configuration then use Caps lock with D. 4. If you want the change to apply in all programs then bring up the default dictionary file by using CTRL-Shift-D when in the Microsoft Word.JDF file. Otherwise the change only applies to the active program, in this case Microsoft Word. 5. Press the spacebar on the Add button. 6. In the Actual Word edit box paste the character you copied to the clipboard by using CTRL-V. 7. Tab to the replacement word edit box and press the spacebar one time. 8. Tab to the OK button and press the spacebar. 9. Use CTRL-S to save changes. 10. Close the dictionary manager by using Alt-F4.
