Sorry, the person who received the email (alias girlfriend/partner) won't be
home for several hours. But I think you're getting the information you need
from other posts.

You would not happen to have an email from Verizon you could send to me?

This is what a Verizon.net user was told by email. Verizon.net will no longer
be used for email. To keep your Verizon.net email address, you'll need to
switch to AOL. Curiously, Verizon doesn't mention in its notification that AOL
is now owned by Verizon. Otherwise, they tell customers to create a Gmail or
other account.

According to my research there are around 4.5 million of you out there, maybe
they are staggering this deployment. Either way I do not know for sure other
than a guy contacted me last evening to tell me Verizon was going out of the
email business.

This is news to me. I am a Verizon DSL customer and have not received any
notice of changes to email service.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] question regarding Verizon email service

I am getting questions from folks on Verizon about them changing something or
doing away with their email servicing for private customers. I am not on that
system so I have no personal information on this matter. If anybody out there
does please let me know what if anything is going to change along with what the
average person needs to do in order to continue receiving email.
