Hello Jerry, In Word 2013 in the backstage area where the recent documents are listed you can remove one recently used document or all that haven't been pinned to the list. From the Recent Documents tab use the tab key to move to one of the documents that are listed. Use the application key and in the contextual menu is an option to clear unpinned documents. This will remove all documents from the recent list except those you have pinned there. There is also an option to remove a single file from the list in the same contextual menu.
