When transferring a word document from one computer to another, the computer receiving the file is locking it.
I am using Office 2010 and I want to know how to stop this from happening permanently. I wasn't sure if the instructions for protecting and unprotect a file would do the same thing, and I do want it to be a permanent change for all of my documents. Thanks.
