Hi, In the old days, the notable difference was how many processor cores you can use on I7 versus I5, as I7 includes models with four processor cores. Starting from 6th generation Core (Skylake), quad-core I5 models were introduced, the biggest difference from I7 being lack of Hyper-Threading on I5. For dual core models, there's really no difference except for faster speeds and more CPU cache on I7. Cheers, Joseph
