Hi Net bat, No, I'm not using Daisy, but I did find the altered Enhancement / profile that was making Jaws not sound very well, & changed the equalizer settings. Everything is good now. Thank you very much for input. Take care. Mike. Go Dodgers! Sent from my iBarstool. Arguing with a woman is like reading a software license agreement. is your jaws voices bassy? the do effect each other. but you do not have to uninstall the equalizer program which is in the control panel as another program. as soon as you make changes in the equalizer it will undo anything you do with your sound card defaults. so you would have to go back to your default sound device to put it back every time you change anything in the equalizer. *** so if it is bassy open the sound card. click on properties. shift tab to the control tabs and go to enhancements. arrow to disable all enhancements. then the jaws voices will be clearer because the bass is reduced. if w go to sounds. playback devices and open the properties of your default sound device. -----Original Message----- From: Mike B. Last week I upgraded this computer by installing an SSD, &updated the Realtek soundcard to a soundcard with an equalizer, the prior Realtek didn't have the equalizer. The young man doing all the work also created a profile in the equalizer named, Mike, but now that added profile / enhancement can't be found in the list of enhancements by a sighted person or my screenreader. This Mike equalizer profile needs to be removed because it's messing with the overall sound, but since I can't find it to delete it my only option, that I can think of, is to take the soundcard back to its defaults. I cannot find a reset option so, how do I get this Realtek High Definition Audio Driver reset back to its defaults? All help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks much. Take care. Mike. Go Dodgers!
