When all else fails copy to word or notepad using Cntrl A and read/save
there.
It sounds as if the save command is an unmarked graphic. I think there
is a way to custom mark graphics so they are "visible". Ins. F2 gets you
jaws managers. Arrow down to custom label to see if that makes the save
command usable.

Yes, it is set correctly, but there are certain PDF documents on
certain websites that will only open on the webpage and then you can
save them. This is one of those.

Is your adobe reader configured to read pdf's in the browser? You'll
find the check box to do so or not do do so in the accessibility
wizard in your adobe reader. Alt v for the view menu and arrow down
to accessibility. Right arrow and select accessibility wizard. Just
click next until you reach the last page and uncheck the box read in
browser. Online pdf's should read directly on your system. This
said, I had to switch to firefox as my default browser from ie11 as I
could not find a way to get online pdf's to read on my system.
when in the browser navigation is nigh to impossible.

Vicki, I wonder if pressing alt-s for save will work at the step
where you wish to save. In other words, don't try to find the save
option, but go right to it with the shortcut.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Saving online Adobe Document
Good Evening,
I have had this problem for quite awhile since my bank changed its
layout and I'm wondering, if with the updates to JAWS, there is a
solution.
Here is my issue.
I want to save the Adobe .PDF document of my monthly bank statement
from the website. Before, all I had to do was select the correct
one, right click and save target as.
Now, however, I first have to select an item in each of the
following combo boxes, name of the document, month and year for the
document and then type of document.
Once that is finished, I then select a button "Get Document."
It then opens up the .PDF online and in the menu when right
clicking, there are several options, one of them is "SAVE," which is
not visible to me. Others are, but not "Save."
There is no other way to save this document to my computer without
selecting the "Get Document" button and opening it first.
I have to have someone click on the "Save" button and then it takes
me to the area where I can name the document, choose the
destination, etc.
I have encountered this on a few other websites as well.
Does JAWS now offer some way of reading that grayed out area to save
the document for these types of Adobe .PDF files.
I have found no other way of doing it.
Thanks.
Vicki
