Fernando, All good points. As you seem to suggest, it's odd that control-e toggles between center and left-align when there's control-l for left-align. Because control-e is a toggle, I'm forced each time to check the margin to ensure I haven't done the opposite of what I intended.

Perhaps that's because I had already written the lines of text on the left margin and just used control e to center each line. So when I was at the end of each line that I wanted to move, I pressed enter, and I was back at the left margin again.
