Hi Jerry, I am using Office 365 with Word 2016 but I think this worked in 2013. It is worth a try. Get focus on your PDF file then with the Applications key fine "Open with" and arrow down to Microsoft Word and press enter. If this works with 2013 you can also make a PDF out of any of your Word documents right out of Word. I hope this works for you. I also use Abbyy Finereader to convert PDF files to Word & text files.
