As was previously mentioned,you could use a second soundcard and speakers 
with Jaws, or

There are no fool-proof way to avoid these annoyances other than not using 
the internet,
 but there are always work-arounds.

When I go on some web sites, they may start playing commercials, music, and
videos.  How do I stop the audio so that I can read through the web site
with jaws so that jaws is not drowned out with these distractions?  Thanks.
