Huh. I thought that "f" worked for this purpose. Maybe I am getting confused
with winamp? Maybe they both work? Haha...anyway, yes, you know what I was
talking about anyway.

I think you mean F11. You're probably right, considering that maximizing the
window does the job.

Hey guys.

VLC is a great programme, but screen-readers do seem to have a hard time
with it ... maybe JAWS in particular. Also the programme occasionally has
non-intuitive and unpredictable behaviour, like setting the audio filters in
preferences somehow seeming to disable the effects and filters menu, though
I'm not totally sure about this. Anyway, maybe one thing you can do is make
sure you are not in full screen mode, which seems to work better if you are
not watching videos. You can toggle this on and off with the "f" key.

Hi back,
Using JAWS 2018, Windows 10 and the most recent version of VLC, I
experienced the same with specifically the spacebar shortcut, the most
important one.

Then tried the same with NVDA and it worked fine. Not definitive, but good
chance it is JAWS.

Hi. I used to be able to pause recordings on the VLC Player by pressing the
spacebar. Now I can pause only by going into the menus. Same with other
functions. Any idea why the shortcuts aren't working for me and how I can
bring them back?
