I've noticed no reply to Laura Richardson's question about how to handle Windows update notifications. I'm sorry her message isn't included here. I deleted it when I was cleaning out my "Delete" folder.
Laura, I don't have Windows 10, but this may get you started. With Windows 7, the Windows update icon goes into the system tray, which I access with JAWS key+F11. Arrow down to and click on that icon to start the process of downloading and installing the updates. There's more, but I'm pretty sure it's different from here with Windows 10, so I hope others will follow up.
