I had that problem on my Windows 8 laptop with Jaws 17. Naturally, FS told me it was my computer so they did updates. I bought a new windows 10 laptop running Jaws 18 and I have recently started having the same problem. If somebody figures it out, I hope it is shared. This is frustrating! Take care! Tammy

I could be reading an email, surfing the web, writing in word, yelling at the dog, and poof it would just stop working. I would do the jaws dump command and then try to bring it back with the hotkey but it doesn't come back up, unless I reboot. Thoughts?
