This works, but it involves more moving around. With the F8 method, you simply 
place focus inside the sentence. Your method works very nicely for longer 
blocks of text.

Everyone seems to have their own methods for selecting sentences. The way I do 
it is to insert a temporary PlaceMarker at the beginning of the selection with 
CTRL+WINDOWS+K, then I go to the end of the selection and press 
INSERT+SPACEBAR, M.
