I am not sure!
You could make sure that the virtual PC cursor is on, and try pressing F7 to 
use carrot browsing!

Edge opened the PDF via default, I was just not able to read the text. I
should have been more clear. 
Any tips on getting Edge to read the text?

Hi!
On the PDF, press the applications key or Shift+F10. Arrow down to open with
sub menu and press right arrow. Arrow down to Edge, and press enter.
Your PDF, even a scanned image will open in Edge, and after a minute or so,
you will be able to read it just like a word document. I use Edge to read
all of my PDFs now.
