Hi K, I haven't had this happen in Word, but in Notepad make sure word wrap is checked / turned on and the windows are maximized for either program. Also, maybe a simple restart of your computer might take care of the problem. To check word wrap in Notepad, open Notepad, and press, Alt + O. If Jaws reports word wrap is not checked, press enter to check it.

In word or notepad files JAWS decides not to read line by line nor word by word when I arrow down. This happened a few months ago and miraculously returned to normal only to reappear yesterday.
