It is recommendation before performing any major change to the system.
If you are not sure, make sure that all of your personal files are backed
up, and then set a new restore point
in the event that something goes wrong, .

Hi
I just did the update download of Service pack 3 and now it is telling
me I need to back up my computer before continuing. What is the installation
going to do that I need to worry about backing up my machine? Is it safe to
proceed with out a backup?
