Manually open Windows Media Player, and, if you're using the latest version, tab till you hear the button named rip and hit space. tab to the rip menu button and hit space on it. You'll have a straightforward menu so you can arrow up and down and take care of things there. I forget how it is in older versions, but they used to have the ripping options and other related stuff in a very obscure location. Hope that helps.
