Hi, Andrew. Dave here.
Personally, my expirences with Windows Vista have been absolutely horrid, mostly with program incompatibility issues, and hardware just not working with it. It did not like JAWS of any version, and for the month I had it, it was a non stop headache of one problem after another, including hardware crashes, program crashes, and a total inability to use my computer at all. I finally got fed up with it, and had my rehab officer send my machine back to Dell, and had XP SP3 put back on it. I just got it back a few weeks ago, and have had no problems at all since. And since my machine is a Dell Vostro 1500 with 2 GB of ram, a Intel Dual core processor, and a 145 GB hard drive, that was originally desinged to handle the rigors of Vista, XP SP3 runs on it like a top. Imho, I would drop Vista like a hot potato, and go back to XP. -------------------------------------------------- From: "Andrew Head" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, July 24, 2008 4:20 AM To: "Jaws users list" <JAWS-Users-List@jaws-users.com> Subject: [JAWS-Users] I have a new laptop > Hi all, > A few weeks ago, I was given a new laptop for my birthday.
