Hi Alan, You didn't mention how much ram the computer will have, nor what video card will be running in it. It would also be a good thing to mention what type of sound card, if any, will you be running, and any extra software that might be included in the mix.
In my humble opinion, these are the major factors when considering whether Jaws will work well on a new computer. I would also note that since you are getting XP Pro, you'll have to upgrade to Jaws pro, so you might want to take that into consideration when purchasing.
