If I were in this situation, I would download a demo version of the current 
JAWS from the website.  Considering the timing, I might even dare to try the 
soon to be announced JAWS 10 beta.  Either way, it will not affect your 
current version and you can determine if this problem has been fixed over 
the last few years.
