It is hard to recommend specific model numbers because they are always changing. if it is for personal use, and you don't need to print in color, then just get the cheapest monochrome laser you can find. I got an HP LJ1018 for about $100 last year, but because model number keep changing, I don't know if that model is still being made, but I am sure there is something similar.
