1. Press alt t to open the tools menu, then press o to open the folder options dialogue box. 2. Control tab to the views page, then activate the first button, apply to all folders. Activate the yes button on the prompt.
3. Tab to ok and activate it.
Now all your files and folders should be laid out as a list view.

Hi all,
On my new laptop, every time I go into a list of files and folders in windows explorer, I have to always press alt V and then L to get everything displayed in a list view. I have forgotten if there is a way to fix things so everything is always presented in a list view. if someone would please assist me I would appreciate it.
