This happens to me after jaws says one hundred percent.

It sounds like the player is still buffering the video or audio. This
means that it is still in "play" mode but it can not download the media
file fast enough. It will pause itself while it downloads enough of the
file to play some more of the file. It will start playing again
automatically when it has "buffered" enough data. This can be very
irritating if the download is slow for any reason! Your ISP connection,
the server, or even the wireless connection within your house are just a
few of the possible causes. I had issues like this when my wireless
router was not working right and when I chose to get the slower DSL from
Verizon.
If you keep pressing Control + p, it might be hard to know when it is
paused rather than just buffering. Usually, I pause the player by
pressing Control + p once and waiting for more of the media file to
download. The trick here is to know how long to wait! I have no good way
to do this! Does anyone out there have any good tricks? Many times, I
have tried to find ways to download the file to get around this.
Automatic downloads like podcasts or RSS feed attachments works great!

Hi got another issue with this. was on streaming mp3 that I was listening
to and the thing kept shutting off after pressing p for play. I would sit
back and it plays for few seconds and shuts off. any thoughts?

That means that you use the F9 key to lower the volume, and F10 to raise
the volume.
