Are you using an email client? I just sent myself a message to outlook express and to my Eudora mail and neither email had any extra stuff at the top. I like using two different email services since I use my charter account for personal mail and my gmail account for general mail and mailing lists. One really big advantage for me is that when I travel, which we do quite a lot, I can always send email out with the gmail account even though I might be hooked up to roadrunner or Verizon or Comcast or whatever. This saves having to configure a separate account for these in my OE in order to send mail. If you want to send mail out from regular companies like Verizon you would have to know the person's user name and password to mail out. This is what I discovered when traveling. Another reason I like the gmail for mailing lists and such is that even if you have deleted an email from your OE files you can still go back on gmail and search for it. That has saved me several times. Sherrie
