You open it with adobe, not OpenBook. Then in the files menu, go to
print and press enter. Tab to the printer selection and choose
Freedom Import printer and press enter. OpenBook should wake up in
about half a minute and report that it's processing.

How do I open a PDF file with Open Book? I have been playing around with
this file we received from our CPA since yesterday and just can't figure out
how to do it. Whenever I open the attachment Adobe is trying to convert it.
Do I need to change the default program that is assigned to open this type

yes, the pDF can accomodate many different file formats. the only thing
that really matters is that the document should be viewable in one way or
another. So you can have elements of HTML, text, images, audio, Flash,
etc., etc, all in the one document. Where images are concerned,
screen-readers can't read them. Thus the need to convert such images to OCR
with programs like Open Book, Kurzweil 1000, FineReader, OmniPage, pdf2txt,
and other OCR-to-text conversion programs.
