Hello Greg,

A few months ago, I had a client who was learning to use the Eye-Pal in her
substitute teaching. At that time, the software did not work well when
scanning
math symbols. Math operators were ignored by the speech output, even though
when the JPG was printed the operators were present. When I contacted the
manufacturer, I was told that it was a known problem that would be addressed in
software updates. Again, it was a few months ago that I used the Eye-Pal, so
hopefully there have been updates to correct that problem. I will contact my
client to check her version of the software against what is now on the AbiSee
web page. Feel free to contact me off list if you want me to let you know if
there have been any updates since I last tried the Eye-Pal with math.

Take care.

Re: [JAWS-Users] User Review of EyePal Scanner
Hello David,
I think we got crossed somewhere. I was asking about books like algebra or
calculus? Sorry If my previous post was not clear.
Thanks,
Greg W.
