Hi Shari,

I have noticed that sometimes that I have had to misspell things to make
Jaws say them the way they should sound. Take care.

You could capitalize the first letter of a syllable, which will make it
speak or stress the syllable more distinctly. (Different synthesizers
  handle some words differently.)

  Subject: [JAWS-Users] Dictionary Manager question

Hi All, Is there a way in dictionary manager to indicate which sylable
in a word should be accented? Sometimes when I change how eloquence
pronounces a word, it still doesn't sound quite right because the accent
is on the wrong sylable. I try things like adding a space between
sylables. Sometimes that helps; sometimes it doesn't. I'm using Jaws 10
with Vista, although I've had this same question with earlier versions
of Jaws and operating systems. Thanks - Shari
