See below: Customizing punctuations: 1. Activate the configuration manager "insert+number row 6" 2. Activate the set options menu "alt+s" 3. Press the letter p to open the customized punctuation dialog 4. You will be in the list of items, arrow down to the item you desire to change the punctuation level 5. Tab once to the verbosity level 6. Use your arrow keys to set this to none, some, most and all. note: In this situation, all refers to stopping all speech. Therefore, none will refer to all punctuations will be read. 7. Tab to okay and hit enter 8. Save the changes "control+s" 9. Exit the manager "alt+f4. Now, it is necessary to adjust the punctuation setting in the global dialog under the JAWS window, in the options menu and voices/global dialog. In most situations, I've found setting this to none allow your custom punctuations to work the best. Be sure to include all previous correspondence pertaining to this matter when replying to this message so that we might better assist you. JAWS Version: JAWS 10 How does one go about customizing the punctuation levels in different applications? I've tried Insert+V, then pressing the letter P before cycling between punctuation levels before pressing the Enter key,but the change is only temporary. I require permanent changes in different programs. I especially need to change punctuation levels on different web pages, though I hope to apply the variances in punctuation to other programs. On the Internet, I have tried Insert+Shift+V but punctuation was not an option. I have also looked in the configuration manager under text processing but it states that it is controlled by JAWS or the chosen synthesizer. Any help will be appreciated.
