Hi Kimsan,
You can download TweakUAC.EXE and run it. No installation is required. One
of the choices is to leave UAC on but to run it in quiet mode. If you do so
then the protected mode will still be active in Internet Explorer 8 and
applications will still start without needing administrative rights.
Running UAC in quiet mode will suppress the "Windows needs your permission
to continue" messages, which are really just "are you sure" prompts. You
can download it using the following link:
