Yeah, the RC is what I was wanting. I'm brave enough to try jaws betas, but not the OS.
Have a good day. http://www.facebook.com/jimmy.podsim -----Original Message----- From: jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Chris Hallsworth Sent: Friday, September 25, 2009 12:23 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Windows 7 install. Hi, I need to clarify something. What was the Windows 7 beta has expired August 1 of this year. So what you actually have is the Windows 7 RC, or release candidate. There are similar but important differences between the beta and the RC. One good example is that the beta is a feature complete (but not ready to be released) version whilst the RC (release candidate) is essentially a dress rehearsal of what people will see when it's available to the general public in under a month's time. Hope this clarifies things. -- Chris Hallsworth E-mail: christopher...@googlemail.com MSN: ch9...@hotmail.com Skype: chrishallsworth7266 Yahoo! Hi, You cannot download the windows 7 beta from microsoft anymore, but there are torrents of it out there, which is where I got mine, this isn't pirated software, just the w7 beta release that microsoft released a while back, and it will stop working in March of next year if you don't buy the full version. you will need a windows live ID also known as a passport ID to get the registration code from microsoft. not sure if it will keep your windows settings and all when you install over a current OS, as I put in a second hard drive and installed it on there for a dual boot setup, which i highly recommend, so you don't have to worry about wiping anything out, and you still have access to all your old files, although if you go this route, you will have to reinstall your programs. later, che At 10:51 AM 9/25/2009, you wrote: >Can a person still download windows 7 and if so if you install it over >Vista, will windows mail be removed and what about your other installed >programs?
