Once you have created the image file of the web page containing the captcha,
just open another window and log onto Solona to submit it. The image file
tool should work with Vista, but if you encounter any problems installing
it, you should contact Solona for help. You can also create the image file
manually by following the steps described on the Learn page.

Hi
I have a question about using solona. When I come to a image I need
translated, how do I get it back to the solona website with out closing my
window with the image in it. I tried installing the tool from the solona
site but it did not want to install properly. Perhaps this was because I
am running windows vista?
Any thoughts are appreciated.
God bless,
Mark

Once you submit an image file of a captcha to Solona, it takes less than
a minute for the operator to decode it and return the result to you.
Solona relies on a network of volunteers to serve as operators, so there
is usually someone standing by most of the time.

How fast would that "so-called sighted help standing by" get back with
the information? You only have so much time to complete the form on most
pages with forms before the page times out.

In addition to Firefox with Webvisum, there is another service called
Solona that solves those nasty captchas (not captures. Visit the
Solona site to register and click on the Learn link for a detailed
explanation of how it works. Briefly, using a special tool that you
download from Solona, you create an image file of the captcha and
submit it to Solona, where a sighted human operator, standing by,
decodes it and returns it to you in text format that you can copy and
paste into the appropriate edit field.

Hi Listers
Can anyone tell me how to get around captures on websites? Even where
there
is an audio version it's hard to get the information from them.
Thanks in anticipation.
