Hi Brianlee, Is there a way to place the cursor in the middle, between the 2
columns and then read the left column with Insert Home and the right hand
column with Insert Page Up?
Many thanks! Vicky

Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Rows for Tables
Hello Nicole,
If your cursor is in a table then you will have two extra tabs on the
ribbon. They will be a "design" and a "layout" tab. Press Alt key and
right arrow until you are on the layout tab choice and then press tab key
to move to the bottom part of the ribbon. If you use your tab key across
the bottom part of the ribbon you will find choices for "insert above",
"insert below", "insert right", and "insert left." The insert right and
left choices will add columns to the right or left of the column that the
cursor is in at the time. The insert above and insert below will add rows
above or below the row where the cursor is at the time. There is also an
"insert cells" choice, which will open a dialog for you to specify where
the cell should be inserted relevant to the current cursor position. The
"rows and columns" group also has a delete button where you can delete a
row, column, table or individual cells. After moving to the layout taband
tabbing to the lower part of the ribbon, pressing shift with right arrow
will put focus on this delete button.
Take care.
