Hi Kimsan,
The discussion of other screen-readers here is off-topic for this list

Does anyone know if there is a version of Window eyes for 64 bit machines?
Please don't direct me to gwmicro.com or make a phone call because one,
there closed until the 4th and I have done the aforementioned and no
results.
p.s googling didn't work either.

Hi,
First, it has been my experience that some programs work under 64-bit
machines (despite them being 32-bit) though there may be some
exceptions.
You also asked what the difference was.
Basically, it comes down to this:
1. 32-bit operating systems apparently (not just Windows) as this
also applies to Linux and others, only can address up to 3GB of RAM.
64-bit is designed to harnis more than this.
As for the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of JAWS, not much difference exists.
You really won't notice.

However, before migrating to the 64-bit version of JAWS, you should be
aware that for whatever reason, sometimes JAWS scripts won't work
properly.
I.e.
One time under pretty much every version of Winamp possible, I was
using JAWS 64-bit.
And when I used control-shift-T, and CTRL-Insert-T, JAWS reported 0
minutes 0 seconds, regardless of track length, or elapsed time.

I do not know if this has been resolved with the latest update under 64-bit.
But this has been a problem for a while now, and I am not happy about it.
I hope that Freedom Scientific's developers are actually working on
that as a fix for a future update.
Thanks, and if anyone has more information to answer Pattie's
questions, feel free to add on from where I've left off. Thanks.

Regards, --Keith
