I have often wanted to copy and paste a file but need to first go empty the clipboard by pasting text into a file. Another thing that I have learned to like is the entries remain even after a system is shut down and then booted up again. The hotkeys are not difficult to use. If you use the Ditto program then remember to make sure that the entry for deleting items on the clipboard in CCleaner isn't checked. Take care. That is what the JAWS Keyboard Manager is for. The hard part is figuring out which key combination is comfortable and not already taken. Perhaps the layered approach hinted about for JAWS 12 can alleviate this issue and make more combinations easily available. To set a new hotkey for this JAWS Script, SayClipboard, follow these steps: 1.Press the JAWSKey (Insert on the desktop keyboard layout and CapsLock on a laoptop layout) + F2. Select "Keyvoard Manager" in the list and press Enter. 2. Press Control + Shift + D, to open the default settings. 3. Press Tab to get to the list of default hotkeys. 4. Either navigate through the list to the name of the JAWS Scripts that you would like to define or press Control + F to searchh for the script that currently uses the difficult hotkey. 4. Manage to press the needed hotkey once and press Enter. 5. This will place you on the current script's hotkey assignment. To leave this hotkey alone and add a second hotkey to perform the same function, press Control + A. 6. Press your well thought out alternative for this script and press Enter. 7. You will be asked to confirm if you want to add this hotkey to the default settings. Press Enter to confirm. 8. Close the Keyboard Manager with Alt + F4.
