as I indicated in my last message, if he goes to tools/options,/audio,
he can change the mike, and speakers,
he can also do a test call, for his speaker and mike,

What he needs to know is how to reset it so that it goes to his microphone 
and not skype!
He's not that technical!
It's possibly the sound card that's got all of us baffled!
