I'm probably going to open up a real can of worms here, but this goes back
too something that I really think needs to be addressed. I have always
felt that web designers, developers and programmers don't really adhere
too the w3c standards for good web design when it comes to the proper
labeling of graphics for persons that use screen readers. It may pass the
test for the first time after the web site has been developed, But if the
designers make changes too the web page over a series of months, then we
as blind computer users are screwed. Just when the page works
sufficiently for a blind person too navigate successfully, the page is no
longer user friendly. Just look at what the frustration that this lady is
going through just too be able too use the banks web site. It may look
more visually appealing for the sighted user, but for the blind, or
visually impaired person, it then becomes a real night mayer.
