That check box was all ready checked. Everything was correct. It still is
not closing. Nothing shows up as far as pages, so I can't even locate the
tabs to close them one by one. I have a sound which indicates when a program
is completely closed down, and when the multiple tabs are present, it simply
will not close down.

Kate,

This is Steve in Lansing. Here's what happened and what you need to do to
correct it.

When you first received that message, there are two buttons and a checkbox
in that dialog. The buttons are "close the current page", "close all
pages", and the checkbox is "don't warn me of this again".

Apparently, you accidentally checked the box, so that now when you close IE
with alt-f4, it is closing all your tabs.

To restore the option to just close individual pages, do the following:

1. Open IE.

2. Press alt-t for Tools, O for options.

3. You will be in the General tab. Tab forward until you hear Tab Settings
button and press spacebar.

4. Find the checkbox that says "Warn me when closing multiple tabs", and
make sure it is checked.

5. Arrow to ok and press enter.

HTH,
Take my advice, I don't use it anyway.

Steve
Lansing, MI
