For he most part, I find it very responsive. there are times when the synthesizer cuts off. I usually bounce between voices because of my hearing loss. Some work, some don't. I don't know if this answers your question. wayne "A merry heart does good like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones." ----- Original Message ----- From: "chris hallsworth" <christopher...@googlemail.com>

Wayne just curious but how responsive do you actually find it? I know this doesn't answer your question but was curious. The answer is you don't do it in Configuration Manager anymore; you instead go to options, voices, voice adjustment. In the profile combo box choose RealSpeak and press enter. This is in the JAWS application.
Hope this helps.

How do I make Real speak the default voice in Jaws 11? I sometimes use Eloquence, but most of the time I use Real speak. How do I keep the default as Real speak? How do I do this from the configuration Manager? I am using Windows Vista and Jaws 11 latest version. Wayne Scott "A merry heart does good like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones."
