I am using a laptop. I have already turned the mouse pad off a while back. Once I did it I had my fiance verify that it was indeed off. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David" <davidwhitehead1...@cogeco.ca>

Basically the same as I described in my first message. The skipping around, Jaws losing focus, and inserting text that I am writing in previously typed text. The inserting text where it feels like inserting text could pose a major problem with my compositions for school. Not necessarily submitting them with the jumbled up text because I always proof-read what I have written, but it Is very time consuming not only cutting and pasting the text back where it should be, but locating the starting point because it will just place it where it sees fit for example Previously typed text: The sun is shining brightly somewhere. Current Typed text: It is very cold somewhere. These two sentences may look something like the following : The sun shold bromewhightly the. I figured if there was a fix someone would eventually have the answer. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David" <davidwhitehead1...@cogeco.ca>

Hello there;

no, the page refresh filter is used on the internet.

I'm not sure what problem your having with MSWord;
perhaps, you could,
change the zoom to 75%
make sure the screen is maximized,

what problem are you having?

I didn't get your last message until this one was already sent. Would that also be the cause of Microsoft Word 2007 behaving in the same manner? Thanks for your assistance. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David" <davidwhitehead1...@cogeco.ca>

I would love to hear the solution to this as well. I also have these problems, but have never been able to get an answer to it. I don't know if you experience it in replying to a message or not, but I also when replying to a message can be typing along and then all of a sudden when checking back on the message I end up inserting sentences where they don't need to be or the cursor will jump down to the individuals email and before I realize it I have typed a whole message in the other person's email. I have now gotten in the habit of checking frequently though where I am. Also, when typing out a message I could start out in the edit field of the message and end up in a windows search box where Jaws has lost focus. I noticed this has occurred with this message as well if you scroll down you will see an example of what I am referring to in Scorpio's email. Take care

Hi Folks,cursor will jump down to the individuals email and before I realize it I have typed a whole message in the other person's email. I have now gotten in the habit of checking frequently though where I am. Also, when typing out a message I could start out in the edit field of the message and end up in a where Jaws has lost focus.windwos search box

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this for themselves?

When I'm on a webpage, the focus seems to jump from one place to another, and links aren't activating when entering on them in several cases.

The same is happening with Outlook Express, where the message will read the one before it, or, it'll say not selected on the message after the one I'm actually sitting on, and so I have to wait until Jaws reads the headers of the next message before I can read the headers of the current message I'm sitting on.

Websites are the worst though. I'll be on one part of the page, and suddenly the focus will jump to another area of the page, or, Jaws will be sluggish and slow to respond to my keystrokes on a webpage.

Another example I can posit is on the Yahoo Webmail site, when I'm sitting on a message, and I'm in the first heading of the page, where the subject line is, I'll try to tab to the add to address book link, and it jumps to the end of the message, several links down, and so have to shift+tab up to the link I wanted in the first place.

Again, I'm using the latest build of Jaws 12, Windows XP, Internet Explorer 8, and Outlook Express 6.

Aside from the Yahoo mail site, located at:

http://mail.yahoo.com

I can give the following website as an example where the focus and cursor jump around drastically, and Jaws is slow to respond:

http://www.futureshop.ca

I hope people can, either, corroborate my experiences, or have a solution that will help me solve the issues.

Scorpio
