yes, I did and with some success but the sliders for sdifferent
options without scripts just give percentages, for example, without
saying what they are.
Since those scripts exist or existed, i don't see anything wrong with
wanting to use them.
Thanks much.

Have you tried using the program without the scripts? As I
mentioned yesterday, I used MP3 Direct Cut quite extensively a few
years ago, without any scripts and it worked perfectly well with
Jaws 6.2. It is a simple program, which is used with either
standard menus or single letter keyboard commands. If I recall, the
only area that required using the Jaws cursor was setting some of
the options in the preferences dialogue.

A guy named Rob. I do not know or remember his last name.
and he had what I think was a fairly pronounced Southern accent -
at least to my non-American ears.

Because they are mentioned in the audio tutorial i have. The
person doing the tutorial uses scripts and mentions them.
I think I pointed this out in my original query.

So, I have a question.
How do you know the scripts really exist,, if you can't find them?

There are things that do not read out of the box but that can
be scripted I am sure.
The scripts do exist and I would like to find them if possible.
Thanks much.

You don't need scripts. It will work fine without them.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Scripts for mp3directcut
I have an audio tutorial for mp3directcut that mentions jaws
scripts for the program. i have searched for these for some
time and never been able to track them down. Does anyone have
these scritps or can point me in the right direction? Any
help would be much appreciated.
I know that mp3 directcut can be operated without scripts but
I am new to the program and audio editing in general and need
all the help I can get. <g> I need to use mp3directcut as I
have some low-bitrate mp3s that I need to cut into chapters
and the other programs that i have decompress and reencode
the audio and produce too much quality loss.
Thanks much.
