Does it not, or did it ever, work for any of the songs in your mmusic
folder?

I'm using JFW 11 and Control+insert+T works with WMP 12 in Win7.
It shouldn't tell you the artist name. It should tell you the name of
the
song.
as it says in keyboard help, it says the title of the playing media.
I don't know about JAWS 12 but, this is not a WMP problem.
