It's one of the ways of skimming through a document, any document (not just an email), looking for key words of interest. I suppose FS decided to cut down on what were considered unnecessary repeat words, as the words which occur most numerously are at the top of the list.

Wow!

I never would have guessed that people count their e-mail words.

Thanks, I doubt I ever would have figured that one out.

That stop words exceptions dictionary is for JAWS when doing counts of occurrences of words with ctrl+insert+w, so that it won't count occurrences of words like a, the, of, etc.

I don't have that option. I have:

1. Smart word reading
2. Language Detect
3. custom labels
4. stop words exception dictionary

I don't have any idea what that is unless it is a trap to catch those bad words which cripples jaws when encountered.

Thanks for the try though.

Hello there;

Did you go into insert+v, adjust jaws options,
Press the letter "r" and then down arrow to see if,
Automatic read messages
If it's not on, press spacebar,
Now tab okay.
on,

Updated Janet's computer running XP Home with Jaws 11 the other day and now it won't read the body of e-mail messages in Outlook Express. The Jaws cursor will read what is in view but not the PC cursor. I don't see anything
in settings (Jaws key+V that might explain this.

Can anyone tell me what is going on?

Reverting to Jaws 7 and all works as it should.

Thanks for any help with this.

Ooopse! there goes the electricity and along with it my WiFi and the ADSL
modem. This will have to go when the power comes back on.
