Thank you again, I followed your directions and they are perfect.
Probably a bad question, but do I hve to be already connected before
following your directions?
Russ

hello there;

if you go into,
network and sharing center in the control panel,

tab until you hear, manage network links,
press enter.
highlight your connection,

now, press, applications key, up arrow and enter on properties.
you will see,
Connect automatically when this network is in range
check the box, and tab okay,

now when you start computer,
this will automatically connect to the hotel network.

Tim,
I am using Windows 7, Jaws 12.
I went to the system tray. I arrowed down to where I would usually find my
network. In the new place where I was, my auto dealership,I entered where
it
said, network available. I then entered and entered again on Open network
sharing center. I then arrowed down to the link where I found my choices.

I didn't take accurate notes while I was there. I was able to successfully
connect, but when I turned off my internet on my laptop, I had to follow
this process again.

I don't usually go away from home and connect to another WFI provider, but

I
just want to have the process down if I do.

Thank you.

What op you using and can give you the steps.

Hi everyone,

At home, I am always connected to my home router.

When I am away from home, I have no problem going to the system tray, then
to the sharing center, and then the page that has a list of available
networks. I enter here, but then am a little confused.

After entering on the local network, for example, a hotel's network, I am
uncertain how to tell my computer to remember this so everytime I want to
go
back on, I have to go through this process again.

I hope this makes sense, help would be appreciated, simple instructions,
step by step if possible.

Russ
