I cannot remember which OS you are using but in windows 7 on the start menu type in user accounts and then in the list of results that will pop up click on create standard user account. After you click on that choice, you will land in an edit field where you can type in the name of the user, so for kicks and giggles seeing as I do not know your wifes name, you can type in pete for this user account and after typing in your name tab to the createnew account button and press spacebar. You can also set passwords for the accounts, just go back into the user accounts options and look for make changes to accounts and there will be an option for setting up a password.
